Mike Patton is a highly sought-after benefits advisor with a passion to fix the rampant healthcare inflation problem. He began his career as a college football coach at Colorado State and had been working in healthcare since 2012. Mike’s sharp intellect and strategic thinking have made him one of the leading minds in employee benefits and he frequently speaks on the subject at industry events.

Mike is a healthcare visionary. He became passionate about healthcare and the inflation involved when a patient came into the doctor’s office he was working at with a nearly $600,000 pacemaker. This leads him to benefits consulting. He has consulted on hundreds of self-funded cases and is an industry leader in self-funding, direct agreements with providers and facilities, as well as integrating these platforms into high performance health plans.

DYLAN SLATTERY

Dylan Slattery is from Dyersville, Iowa – home of the Field of Dreams. An avid baseball fan, he moved to Denver after coaching baseball for six years while battling two bouts with stage four melanoma in his twenties. Prior to Excel Health Plans, Dylan was a sought-after motivational speaker sharing his story about overcoming adversity and being a cure in a world that’s filled with cancer.

Dylan’s cancer experience brings a patient-focused approach – as we do not believe in denying claims as a form of cost-containment. After working for ScriptSourcing, he realized that many consultants were looking for a solution that worked for their small groups without all of the customization that comes with large group self-funding and Excel Health Plans was born.
